<p>Outdoor activities are great for developing good personal characteristics such as, determination, confidence , stepping out of your comfort zone, creating a positive attitude, risk taking, and how to work in a team.</p>
<p>It is also good for your health and fitness, and is great fun.</p>
<p>Doing exercises daily is very important to maintain general health and fitness. Then, when you have to do something more strenuous you should enjoy it more and hopefully you won&#8217;t collapse and die of exhaustion! :P<span id="more-45"></span></p>
<p>I exercise daily, and go on walks and runs, just so I can keep myself fit. Gorge walking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, high ropes, swimming, sailing, and abseiling are all outdoor activities that I  love doing. I highly recommend you have a go, if you can.</p>
<p>The character traits that you learn are not only useful in everyday life, but in enabling you to reach your full potential.</p>
<p>Whether it&#8217;s at school, in a future job, or when you face a family challenge your character is what will shine through and help you achieve the results you want.</p>
<p>Character growth is an upward spiral. Your activities strengthen your character, and your character strengthens your activities.</p>
<p>Now when I stand at the bottom of a climbing wall I attack it with energy, determination, and confidence, knowing that I can find the way to the top.</p>
<p>The more I achieve in my life, the more character I build, and in turn I get stronger.</p>
